Author Biography

Tim Stafford, University of Hertfordshire

Dr Tim Stafford is an Academic Skills Tutor in Herts Academic Skills in the Centre for Learning, Access and Student Success at the University of Hertfordshire. He is a Visiting Lecturer in Literature, History, Film and Education. His PhD analysed comic book adaptation films as commercial and artistic properties, focusing on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe. His monograph, Teaching Visual Literacy in the Primary Classroom, is published by Routledge. He has written on comic books, picture books, visual narratives, and film and television.
