CALL FOR PAPERS –‘Attitudes and intentions that foster student-staff pedagogical partnership’ – Vol 8, No 2 (2022)

For Volume 8, No 2 we are looking to attract a range of submissions on ‘Attitudes and intentions that foster student-staff pedagogical partnership.’ The last decade has seen the publication of typologies of student-staff partnership, guides for developing partnerships and frameworks for pursuing equity and justice through partnership. While these typologies, guides, and frameworks, as well as a range of other scholarly publications, emphasise the importance of mindsets that foster productive partnership there is a gap in the literature on the attitudes and intentions that inform partnership work.

This special issue of JEIPC seeks work that draws on theories and disciplines that are not well represented in the partnership literature. For example, “attitude” and “intention” are two constructs in psychology that focus on how emotions (affect) and thinking/mental processes (cognition) are strong predictors of behaviours or tasks individuals aim to accomplish. It would be worthwhile to explore how and which of these attitudes and intentions are formed, transformed and/or facilitate the initiation and sustainability of effective student-staff partnerships.
